Wool fabric for shielding from ARS

Shielding experiments in the DSS "sleeping station" demonstrated that one of the ways for the ARS matter to reach the body tissue is by penetrating through the sleeping surface (i.e. the mattress) upwards towards the body.  Observations indicate that the ARS matter is able to propagate through porous substances such as the mattress foam or foam-like synthetic blankets similar to the one shown in Fig. 1.  It was discovered however that dense wool fabric is quite effective in shielding from this type of ARS matter propagation.  A wool blanket shown in Fig. 2 though Fig. 4 was used for experiments by folding the blanket in half and using half of the blanket to line the sleeping surface with, while the other half was being used to cover with.  The sleeping surface was a plywood and cardboard protected sleeping surface (currently multiple smaller size sheets of materials used, even though one piece continuous materials proved to be more efficient) additionally covered with the wool blanket.  It is anticipated that covering a mattress with a wool blanket without the plywood or other hard sheet materials used in addition should still be at least somewhat effective.

The wool blanket is effective in reducing the exposure to "Feet wrap", "Sip through" / "Pool floatation" ARS signature types.

Covering the back of the neck with the wool blanket also appeared to attenuate the "remote sensing pulse".

Note of Aug 14, 2024:  The initial high effectiveness of the wool fabric showed reduction after several days of use and is not superior.  The perception of the AP is as if the minimum "cell size" of the ARS matter got reduced being able to penetrate through the fiber, or else is that the ARS matter is now generated above the blanket.  This page is retained however since the initial shielding effect of wool was very high.
